Pennsylvania:
Tell PA legislators to pass epinephrine stocking legislation!

Pennsylvania is considering a bill (HB 803) that would allow schools in the state to maintain a supply of undesignated epinephrine auto-injectors for use in the event of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis). Because approximately 20-25% of epinephrine injections in schools involve children whose allergy was unknown at the time of the reaction, it is incredibly important for schools to be prepared to treat anaphylaxis. If schools have access to epinephrine auto-injectors and staff trained to administer the medication, children will not die at school when a snack lands in the wrong hands.

HB 803 is currently with the Senate Appropriations Committee, and we need to move the bill forward! If you live in Pennsylvania, please contact your both your state Senators and Senator Corman, the Chair of the Apporpriations Committee, and urge them to bring HB 803 to a favorable vote. Voting 'yes' on this bill will protect the health and lives of children in Pennsylvania schools!
